We are postponing the first NCL Search Event to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. We’ll reorganise for later in the year.
Our first event is happening on Thursday 12th March 2020 at The Union Rooms, Newcastle upon Tyne, from 6:30pm until 9:00pm.
We’ll release 50 free tickets via Eventbrite to our Slack community on Monday 17th February at 10am (request to join here) and then to everyone else at 11am. There will be a waiting list if we do happen to run out!

We are hosting the first Newcastle Search at The Union Rooms, upstairs in the 1877 suite.
The venue is a one-minute walk away from Newcastle Central Station and there is free parking available after 5pm at Dean Street Car Park & Grainger Town Car Park, both of which are within walking distance from the venue. More information on free parking is available here.
We’re on the lookout for people to speak at our events and have allocated a final slot for the first event. We welcome first-timers who want to give speaking a try, industry veterans, and everything in-between.
Talks will need to last 20 minutes and be related to the topic of Search Marketing. If you are interested, please visit this link to submit a pitch to talk.
Andi is the Founder and Strategy Director of Eximo Marketing, a marketing strategy consultancy based in Belfast and Liverpool. Eximo Marketing helps companies find more customers by creating effective marketing strategies, fixing under-performing parts of their campaigns, and providing training to educate and engage their teams.
Andi regularly speaks at digital marketing conferences around the world, including BrightonSEO and SearchLove, and hosted the huge Learn Inbound conference back in August 2019.
Andi has worked with some of the world’s most recognisable brands in his agency days, such as Budweiser, Expedia, Corona, KWM Law, Yellow Tail and Beck’s.
Stacey is an SEO and Content Marketing Specialist based just outside Manchester. She worked for a Manchester agency for 9 years before going freelance in April 2018, launching MacNaught Digital and building a team to support UK businesses in delivering revenue growth through content and organic search.
Stacey delivers business-changing results for companies in travel, retail, professional services and healthcare, both with domestic and international SEO campaigns.
Stacey regularly speaks at a number of SEO and wider marketing events in the UK, Europe and USA, including Mozcon, BrightonSEO, Friends of Search, SearchLove, Learn Inbound and SMX.
Stephen launched Rise at Seven with Carrie Rose in June 2019 and is the agency’s Technical Director, leading SEO, CRO and development.
In 2016, Stephen co-founded SearchLeeds, which has grown to become the largest digital marketing conference in the north of England. He’s delivered talks at more than 100 conferences in 10 countries, including BrightonSEO, SMX and Learn Inbound.
Previously Stephen was Head of Digital at Pendragon PLC – the UK’s largest automotive retailer – and led SEO at search marketing agency Branded3 for 7 years, winning Best Large SEO Agency at both the UK and European Search Awards.
Ruth is Senior Digital PR Manager at Evolved Search, with 12 years’ experience in journalism and digital PR. She was highly commended for Women In Marketing’s One To Watch award in 2019.
Ruth can be seen speaking at BrightonSEO’s Online PR Show in April this yeah, and outREACH Conference 2020 in mid-June.
Alongside the coverage Ruth gains for clients, she can be seen sharing her views with the likes of Forbes, BBC, Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Mail, Huffington Post, and Mashable on a regular basis.
